The agriculture education program is built on the three core areas: classroom/laboratory instruction, supervised agricultural experience programs and FFA opportunities. 

Overton agriculture students can earn 3 college credits through the dual credit Greenhouse Management class. Students that choose to join FFA, the co-curricular student leadership organization, can participate in career development events in over 20 areas, earn exclusive scholarships, grants and awards, and gain access to high quality leadership training.
